Being A Girl

Being a girl, she gets nothing but pain,
And she gets judged, again and again.
Being a girl, all she gets is tears,
And with them, accompanied by fears.
Being a girl, she at times is disrespected,
This world isn’t anymore safe and protected.
They say, “You’re equal to our sons.”,
But in the end, they don’t treat them like ones.
Being a girl, she is her daddy’s princess,
After marriage, no less than a kitchen’s duchess.
Being a girl, she suffers deep wounds,
In this world, full of molesters and blood hounds.
Being a girl, she doesn’t get her rights,
None is there, when she fights.
I always wished to have a girl,
I wanted her to be my princess, my pearl.
But every girl I meet has a story to tell,
Some are recovering, others trying like hell.
This world is not safe, now I knew,
Uneducated taking over, educated a few.
Now I know, I don’t want a girl.
I can settle for a prince than that beautiful pearl.
P.S: These are my views. I have no intention of hurting anyone’s beliefs or sentiments.
Love,
